Atlanta, GA – Employees from Zep, Inc and Atlanta United removed more than 1,500 pounds of garbage from a local waterway.

Zep’s purpose is to make the planet cleaner, safer, and more productive. This is regularly achieved through the creation and production of cleaning products that are safe and effective on everything from a small stain on a carpet to some of the toughest industrial messes on Earth. Earlier this week, though, it was accomplished in person on the Chattahoochee River.

Led by the Chattahoochee Riverkeepers (“CRK”), Zep employees spent the morning wading the river to fill up garbage bags with debris.

“This was a great opportunity to show what we are about,” said Neil Grossman, Director of Marketing. “Team members volunteered for this opportunity because they believe improving the environment starts at home with each of us.”

“Stewardship is a key corporate value of Zep because we believe in continuously improving the safety of our people and products. We protect the planet by developing innovative solutions to reduce our environmental impact.”

CRK provided all necessary supplies including trash bags and gloves for this event. Year to date, participants at CPK events have removed over 43 tons of debris from the Chattahoochee River.

Registration for future cleanup events is available on CRK’s website
